  1. What should the correctly enabled I2C service (for a 40x2 LCD) look like on Bananapim2pro? Should I edit the armbianEnv.txt file and add, for example, the following entry: overlays=i2c0 i2c1? The only thing that worked was connecting via UART and after resetting I got this (see screenshot). Where, in addition to the lack of loading, this line confuses me DDR3 chl: Rank0+1 @ 912MHz - FAIL Apparently, I have a problem with u-boot, and maybe a hundred more. I would like to get advice on which direction should I move? In advance, thank you very much to everyone who responded!)

Typically accessing via ssh over the network, suddenly after a reboot, it's not appearing on my network, solid red light, solid green light, and a blue heartbeat as well as the NIC light blinking as if network connection is functioning normally, but my network is not assigning an IP address and the potato isnt sending any packets. Khadas VIM1S is an upcoming low-profile single board computer powered by an Amlogic S905Y4 quad-core Cortex-A35 processor that’s meant to provide an upgrade to the Amlogic S905X-powered Khadas VIM SBC introduced in 2016, and since then renamed to Khadas VIM1. 46. hi all, I'm very new here, just got my first potato and am playing around with it. I noticed my top left USB port wasn't working at all, which googling led me to this thread here: It's a pretty old thread, but it seems to still be doing it, at least in the version of jammy I downloaded today. Not a dealbreaker for me, since I only really need 1 port, I can use one of the other 3 and it works fine, but thought maybe someone would want to know if you didn't already know. I DID confirm that it's not the board/port. If I put Ubuntu on it, I can see the drive just fine in blkid even when it's plugged into that pesky USB port.

The system detects no wifi adapter after booting or reboot, however, it can be detected after a hot-plug (remove then plug) action. How can I solve the problem? Thank you all.

  48. I just in installed Ubuntu 22.04 and planning to use the board as photo frame on cron job (script) during certain hours of the day. This is how I did on my raspberry pi(, that fried recently after about 7 years of service)! However, I can not turn off display. Commands I used on RPI do not work. Tried all kinds of various methods to turn off display - xset - vcgencmd - xscreensaver - tvservice - All of the above as my <username> as well as "sudo" All of them either don't do anything or blanks the screen but does not turn it off. For some of the above commands it complains regarding - VCHI initializ…

  52. Banana PI M2S · Started by baryon,

The USB-C port and lsusb results suggest to me that this board should support USB 3 under Armbian, but I have no earthly idea how I would succeed at this. My first, naive attempt used the PinePhone docking bar. This looked like it might work as it passed power through to the M2S, and it also powered the WD Passport HDD I used to test, but no devices appeared. Is there a better fit? Perhaps the PinePhone device only works with Pine devices? This would be better posted on the official Banana Pi forum, but I'm apparently IP banned despite having never posted there. This is an Armbian system, so I reckon it's not too off-topic to ask here.

  58. Hi, I recently bought Odroid N2+ (4GB) as a replacement for my raspberry pi 4. With legacy kernel 4.9 boars seems to be working fine. But when I flashed latest 5.10 kernel version it boots but without HDMI signal. I've read some topics here and in hardkernel forum and my conclusion is that my monitor resolution (3440x1440@60Hz) might not be supported by the kernel. I use this monitor. After some tinkering I was able to boot with video by passing following string to bootargs: setenv bootargs ${bootargs} "video=HDMI-A-1:2560x1440@60" Unfortunately the image is flickering and almost unusable in most cases. Here is an excerpt from 4.9 kernel bootlog wi…

  61. So, I've noticed there were some updates available, so decided to do so, now running 20.08.7 Focal / 5.8.13 kernel. Now, I did run the nand-sata-install when I first installed armbian a month ago to an external SSD and all's working perfectly. The thing is, a couple of weeks ago, even after this latest update and rebooting, the sbc won't boot up, I had to pull the plug and back about 20 times for it to boot. 66. Hello! I have installed Armbian Bookworm on Khadas VIM3. Also I have enabled "UARTa" , "UARTc" in armbian-config utility. After reboot in file /boot/armbienEnv.txt I have checked options about uart (uarc). Also there are many files /dev/ttyS[0-7] exists. 71. I recently upgraded from an Odroid HC2 to and Odroid HC4. I reinstalled the OS following the instructions on armbian.com, flashing onto a MicroSD. After migrating the apps (mostly dockers), I found that restic (backup tool) was generating out of memory errors and bringing the system to a halt in a way the HC2 didn't. This surprised me as it's overall higher specced, and the configuration was otherwise identical. After some troubleshooting, I realised there was no swap drive specified, and that creating a swap eliminated my out of memory errors. I'm not sure if the source of the "problem" is the swapfile here, but it at least…

What seems to be the problem is the C2 (this happens with both, same SD card) are not seeing devices plugged into USB ports so the USB connection to the UPS is not working. I have verified the Eaton and USB cable are fine. I regularly update the C2 I wonder if a recent update has affected the USB port functioning? Any way to troubleshoot?
