Hi all, I am trying to add SSH Keys to an HC1. The commands I am using are: sudo mkdir ~/.ssh sudo chmod 700 ~/.ssh sudo nano ~/.ssh/authorized_keys Then I select all the PUBLIC key from PuTTy Gen and copy/paste it on the file above, close and save the file. sudo chmod 600 ~/.ssh/authorized_keys sudo chown -R $(whoami):$(whoami) ~/.ssh/ sudo reboot I then try to SSH with PuTTy and SSH keys. Immediately I get an error saying "Server refused our key" and then it asks me for my normal password as a user. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

I do not use my HC2 for a while. Now I have issue to boot it up. I have download image ubuntu 18.04.3 from official odroid wiki link and during first boot blue led is blinking in heart beat rate forever, I was trying 18.04.1 and first boot run smooth, leds turn off and only red is on, but after reset I can not see my odroid in my network (I used two different cables to check if any is broken). Earlier when I was using it there was no problems.

I'm having a hard time clarifying if OMV 5 is stable on Helios 4 and if there are any successful builds out there. Since there doesn't seem to be an upgrade path from OMV4 -> OMV5 and so requiring a full rebuild, I want to understand as much as possible before actually trying this new version out. Any successes out there?

I run armbian on an Odroid HC2. Using hdparm -t /dev/sda I get merely roughly 130MB/s on buffered disk reads. This is way below the expected value for my 2TB Crucial SSD. It is obviously not a major issue as the speed is anyway bottlenecked by the gigabit ethernet. I'm just curious, does anyone get better speeds with a similar setup? I read that poor performance can result from a misaligned partition. Checking the alignment with "align-check" of parted does report that the parition alignment is fine, so I suspect this is not the issue in my case.

Hi all, I wanted to do some cross arch builds on my newly installed Armbian on an Odroid-HC1 buuut, it seems binfmt_misc support is not enabled in the kernel. Can I enable it somehow without recompiling the kernel? Thank you for this great image, kernel 5.4, omg!
-
I know it is unsupported and all, but I just want to point out that running Ubuntu Focal(2020/05/03) with kernel 5.6 on Odroid MC1 has been destroying microSD cards. The board boots up fine, but after an apt-get update and a few minutes in, the Sandisk microSD card died and becomes read-only. I'm not sure if it is vendor-dependent, but I have tried out two new Sandisk microSD cards and they all turned read-only. This might be a kernel issue since on Debian Buster with kernel 5.4 or kernel 4.14 that never happened.

The UN-official, UN-supported, UN-timely, UN-derrated... Exynos 5422 MEDIA TESTING SCRIPT Yes, the script is somewhat untimely, because it comes when including kernel 4.14 in Armbian next images is getting troublesome. And underrated, because this old SoC seems to be losing the focus of attention in favor of some more modern powerful ones. But it is still a great SoC, and it is worth trying to get the best out of it. The script will provide the installation of all the libraries and system configurations necessary for GPU accelerated X desktop, Chromium WebGL,VPU decoding/encoding acceleration through MFC, and GLES 3.1 / OpenCL 1.1 support. …

Hi Everyone, I'm considering getting an ODROID-HC1 to use as a simple NAS. Is this a good idea? (Yes, some of you will have seen my very similar post about the Espressobin!) My requirements are quite basic; a single SATA SSD and a single ethernet port, running NFS and Samba. I do need a newish version of Samba (required to support "Time Machine" backup from my Mac) which I believe is in Debian Buster but not in Stretch. I've been a Debian user for decades; I guess I might be happier if the hardware supplier provided a Debian image, but it's great that Armbian is available. I note that Armbian Buster for this board is described as "Testing"; should I wait for a bit…

So my sshd service won't start after a system upgrade. I have no uart access, so currently no console access. I do have access to the root drive on a usb device. I suspect systemd is having a problem starting sshd from the ssh.service unit file. But I'm not sure how to fix it. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Here are the contents of my ssh.service file. I checked that /etc/ssh/sshd_not_to_be_run doesn't exist. I'm a little confused about the runtime directory, so I made a folder in the root directory called sshd with 0755 permissions, but that doesn't seem right. Since 10 days I try to install NextcloudPi on Odroid HC1. Unfortunately neither the nextcloud image nor the armbian image boots on the Odroid HC1. Also an attempt with OMV failed. In my experience with the raspi, the sd card had to have a boot partition and a rootfs partition. Etcher and dd always create only one rootfs. The blue LED flashes: short, short, pause. Also exchanged hardware was unsuccessful (HC1 and SD cards).

My end game is to use hardware h264 encoding for my security camera streams (using OpenCV, etc) . The first step is testing ffmpeg. It appears that all the necessary pieces are already present in the release I'm using. If I use: ffmpeg -i centaur_2.mpg -acodec aac -vcodec h264 -b:v 2M -pix_fmt nv21 test.mp4 CPU stays below 12% and I get 44 FPS. Seems like hardware encoding is working here. If I use: ffmpeg -i centaur_2.mpg -acodec aac -vcodec h264_v4l2m2m -b:v 2M -pix_fmt nv21 test.mp4 About the same performance, but the file is 10x larger! Hello, I suffered a power outage and my odroid hc1 won't boot since. I also updated the kernel to 4.14.141 but the system did come back up after reboot to that kernel, it is just the power outage which seems to have caused problems. I have tried connecting the sd card and the to the laptop and ran fsck on them, no issues were found. Is there a way to debug the booting issues by say, forcing some sort of log to be writen to sd card? LED wise, red (power) LED is on, whereas green (SATA) and blue (system) seem to turn on and off repeatedly; green first, blue second, and then they both turn off at the same time. Thanks!

I bought an helios4 (and run helios4 4.19.63-mvebu) to replace a bananapi server under armbian, the bananapi was running a DRBD node, so I need this service. I first tried to install it, and have seen that DRBD was not configured in the kernel linux-image-next-mvebu 5.91. and the module was missing I checked in the git repository that linux-mvebu64-next.config has now this configuration option, and thought that I will get a new kernel by switching to nightly build. As this option is offered by armbian-config I toggled it. After some time my Helios4 failed to reboot and was bricked. I mounted my SD on an other system to try to analyze the situation, nothing app…

Hi, I'm using the minimal Armbian Debian-based image as a starting point to install my favorite desktop environment KDE and related software. I've got everything set up so that I got it working partially. I remember trying the Armbian desktop (Ubuntu flavor) but it did not have it set up out of the box IIRC (I could be wrong). I took a look at how the hardkernel guys set up their official Ubuntu image for Odroid XU4 and used that as a guide to set it up on my minimal Armbian. So here's what I've done and what I've learned I need to do according to the official image: 1. apt install mali-t62x-x11-driver xserver-xorg-video-armsoc-sun4i …

I'm new here, so please bear with me! I run an Odroid XU4 with Armbian stretch default. Recently I did a normal apt update and upgrade to kernel/dtb/headers version 5.97 (from 5.91), along with all other possible upgrades. This made the system very unstable- it had an uptime of nearly 3 months with 5.91 (all time high for the board) before the reboot, and after the upgrade it lasted a couple of hours before stalling/crashing. A downgrade to kernel/dtb/headers v 5.95 helped somewhat, but it crashed after a week or so - it may just be of those "it just happens". I went ahead and installed 5.91 and it is stable so far a few days in. The board is a bit…

Hi all, I've pre-ordered my helios4 and was so excited to finally receive my new NAS after a few months of waiting. I love this project and want to see this project to grow and maybe inspire others to create similar projects as this one. That said, I was really disappointed when I finally started my board and realized that the UART to micro usb was broken when I plugged it in my computer. No USB device is at all recognized(on linux nor on my mac). At first, to eliminate any potential problems, I tried at least 6 different micro usb to usb cables thinking that a cable could be broken... it happens some time. With all 6 cables tried, never did I get …

1. Question: How do I check that ECC is really active? 2. Possible Kernel issue: The Debian Buster image's Kernel seems to lack CPU frequency info settings: "cat: /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/cpuinfo_cur_freq: No such file or directory". How can that be fixed? 3. Possible assembly issue: I think the air flow through the case should be reversed. Testing scenario: two units about 0,5 m apart in the same location. One unit assembled as shown in the Wiki, the second one assembled with reverse fan direction. First unit equipped with WD40EFRX-68N32N0 (3 platters), second one with the older WD40EFRX-68WT0N0 (4 platters). Because of tha…

Updated several HC1 to Buster. Reapplied the optimized board config, as done under stretch before. Main issue: No matter what CPU governor I set, max. frequency jumps around automagically between 1.8 GHz and 2.0 GHz. I can set performance governor to the range from 1.9 to 2.0 GHz, armbian-config confirms, and when I back out of the menu it says "soc runs between 1800 and 1800 MHz using performance governor". Even at > 90% CPU boards stay below 2.0 GHz. Minor glitches only for boards, I already upgraded from jessie to stretch: - boot.ini misses the hc1.dtb check - must manually edit - systemd misses armbian* entries, as well as the uti…

Hi, I'm new proud user of Helios4 Batch3. I started to "play" with different options on this board - and after a 24 hours of use - board doesnt start anymore. Status led blinks but and disk leds blink for short time. It is not possible to connect via terminal console or network. I'think that problem (at least logs point that way) with missing or unavail mount point or (one) disk problem. But nevertheless I think that system itself should still be accessible. Am I wrong? Some disks can fail but not all mount points reside on them. If I disconnect all disks (physically) then connection(s) is/are possible again. I'm st…

As previously posted, I have been looking to buy another board. My research continues. But today I came across this, and wanted to ask if this was something I should jump on, or do they always sell for this price? ODROID-XU4 at Hardkernel shop shows a price of $59.00, which is crossed out and now $49.00 is shown instead. I added an 8GB EMMC module, and then went to my cart to check shipping, which was $28.00 to Eastern US! I have emailed them asking if there is any cheaper shipping option, as that is almost 50% of the price! I will report back their reply if/when I receive it.

Hi, I want to try out my Odroid HC2 as an openvpn client. I don't expect great performance but I want to make sure I set it up correctly. This is why I want to ask if anyone can give any recommendations or tweaks for using it as an openvpn client. Idk much about openvpn, I know it uses openssl for de and encryption. Is there a way to use hardware de and encryption so I can speed things up and have a better download speed via openvpn? Or is hw de/encryption maybe already used by default if I just install openvpn package? Any recommendations on how to correctly set this up are appreciated.

Hi. I have a Odroid XU4 with Ubuntu Bionic latest release (5.60), powered with this UPS: APC SmartUPS 750 VA. Apcupsd doesn't work. The problem seems related to the missing /dev/usb/hiddev0. Hi, I am running Armbian on four HardKernel HC2's and everything is working perfectly. Is it even worth upgrading when running more mature boards like this one? My boards run insi…

I just got a new XU4 and I tried to run both the official ubuntu 18.04 image with linux 4.14 and the armbian stretch 4.14 image (both minimal). I can hear a constant electrical squeaky noise (similar to noise from certain power supplies, usb chargers, etc) coming from the XU4 when running Armbian. The same noise is not present in the Ubuntu image. This occurs immediately after first boot (no additional configuration) and is constantly there. This is especially noticeable when the fan is off. Has anyone experienced this before?

Hello. First of all, thanks for your work and images working for my board :) I am working on S912 game board (board is used for an arcade game hardware) and would like to install gpu drivers. My issue is I don't find any documentation about from official website (ARM) I also wanted to use Panfrost but no documentation exist for installation :( I visited many site and Learn a little about Deb package and dkms package. Now I have a few questions about Can I install deb without dkms or must I install also dkms? How I can install gpu drivers if files like make don't exist on officia…

Hi, I'm using Odroid HC1 for quite a long time and I've observed much degradation on SMB/NFS speed when making upgrades to the board. I'm not sure why? Maybe I'll find some idea what it can be. Previously the board was working with speeds >100MB/s when reading from it on Windows (smb) or Linux (nfs) now max speeds on the same configuration are ~40 MB/s. That's way too slow. I don't see any process to hang on pc, while copying using smb the samba process is using not so big amount of CPU on big cores from what I see. I've grabbed armbianmonitor output so you can check it also: http://ix.io/1zrL Currently I'm working on: 4.14.87-odroidxu4 …

Hi all! I am running a nextcloud server on an odroid HC2 and a 4 TB WD red HDD. So far, so good (thanks again @Igor for the quick help with the kernel downgrade!). And since I have bought the sbc recently, I do not seem to have the older firmware version with the HDD "emergency power down" bug, i.e. I haven't heard clacking sound from the HC2. Today, I set HDD spindown to 1 hour via hdparm (wd red does not support apm) because the HDD would spin down after about three minutes on its own. The HDD does not seem to apply these settings, so I installed smartmontools to check the HDD in general. Only to find that: smartctl -a /dev/sdb1 gives this…

The Armbian htop fork doesn’t show the cores frequencies. Is this a known problem? The frequencies are available like on any other computer in the sysfs entries (cpufreq driver).

Hi! recently bought a HC2 from hardkernel to migrate my nextcloud from a raspberry pi 3b. HDD is a WD red 4 TB. armbian stretch with the 4.19 kernel, downloaded from armbian.com (Armbian_5.69_Odroidxu4_Debian_stretch_next_4.19.14). My problem: after boot (sudo reboot now or sudo shutdown -r), no possibility to login, i.e. angryip scanner doesn't show the hc2, putty times out when trying to connect. All LEDs are lit or pulsate respectively. I have to physically disconnect the power supply and reboot, then I can easily login. This is probably not very healthy for the hdd (or the sd card..., although with the ro option and zram, not much is being writ…

I needed to downgrade from 4.19 back to 4.14 so I wanted to use armbian-config/system/other. It gave me an empty list. To fix that, in /usr/lib/armbian-config/functions.sh I needed to change the apt-cache command as follows: apt-cache show linux-image-next-odroidxu4 | grep -E "Package:|version:|Version:" | sed -n -e 's/^.*: //p' | sed 's/\.$//g' I added "-next-" That gave me a list, finally. Then the next issue: apt -s -y --allow-downgrades --no-install-recommends install linux-image-next-odroidxu4=5.60 linux-dtb-next-odroidxu4=5.60 failed with: E: Command line option --allow-downgrades is not…

Odroid XU4 with Cloudshell2 Coming from 4.14.69, upgraded to 4.19.14 The fbtft_device module for the Cloudshell-LCD now reports: fbtft_device: display not supported: 'hktft9340' And yes, the source for fbtft_device seems to no longer contain hktft9340. I will ask in the Hardkernel Forum - this is just for info here. Question: When I use armbian-config to switch to an earlier package, I get a nice list, I select one and say ok, but after reboot nothing has changed. Is there something I could be missing in order to make this switch work? Never tried it before - I was hoping this would help me temporarily.

Hey Can anyone confirm the problem with under-clocking in Odroid HC1/HC2/XU4 with Kernel 4.19.14 / Armbian 5.70? I could always reach 2000/1500Mhz without a problem. Currently, after the last Armbian update from 5.60 to 5.70, I noticed a strange behavior that Odroid does not want to reach full clocks. With cpufrequtils min 600 max 2000 and "performance" and clocks do not want to go higher than 1800/1300Mhz temperature cpu 45.0 ° C. No changes just last updates nothing more was touched. After returning to 5.60 and 4.14.69 the CPU runs normally at 2000/1500 .... I also have the impression that HDD sometimes behaves strangely at 5.70 / 4.19.14 …

I’m relatively new to Armbian, have been running it with XU4 for couple of months. Otherwise working very well, but there’s occational (once a month) full system hang/crash or something. This is a remote server with constant load (video surveillance) and when it happens, all connectivity is of course lost and I think it can be only resolved locally with full power cycle. I’ve not yet tried to attach HDMI monitor when it’s in the crashed state, but will do it next time. Although not very optimistic if that works at all. There are nothing obvious in the logs, or it might be that I don’t know where to look. Are there any general advice what to do, how to figure this out?…

Using the date command, it has my local time as correct, but the clock in the taskbar or whatever its called at the top of the screen is about 6 hours ahead (gmt). How do I correct this? Also, how do I verify that video acceleration is functioning or not? How do I adjust the cpu freq gov and what is the default? This is something I've just realized has been popping up for me for as long as I've been using armbian the past year or so with my ODROID. After a clean setup, I use armbian-config to edit the network settings (ethernet connection) to a static IP address, and everything works fine. I reboot the changes and go on my way. The problem comes after I reboot days/weeks later for kernel updates or if I lost power. The board turns on fine but refuses to show up on my network and therefore cannot SSH to the system. Looking through the SD card and checking the files shows that /etc/network/interfaces is devoid of any static IP changes made through the config, although i…

Hello, playing around with the HC1 I noticed the lack of the nbd driver within this image. Because of the good documentation and the excellent build chain system I was able quickly to build a installation image solving my needs. My question: are there plans to add the settings necessary for nbd driver generation to the image build configuration ? Otherwise I would have to take care in case of armbian kernel updates. Thanks in advance, Joe62

Hi! I'm attempting to activate FS-Cache on a HC2 with a 512GB SSD. I want to cache reads from other servers with NFS shares using mechanical HDDs over GbE. I run PLEX on the HC2 with SSD and the media is stored on other HC2s running OMV, with big mechanical HDDs. Hi, I'm running into a problem I can't solve. On my new Odroid HC1 I'm trying to set up a SFTP with chroot, but no matter what I'm trying it doesn't work on Armbian (or OMV). Tried it multiple times with a clean Armbian (Armbian_5.59_Odroidxu4_Debian_stretch_next_4.14.66 - also tried the Bionic image) install, simply added a user, added the required lines to sshd_config but each time I get a "Broken Pipe" error. On the other side when I use the minimal Ubuntu image from Hardkernel.com the chroot SFTP works without a problem. But I would like to run Armbian. Has anybody been able to create a chroot for SFTP on a Odroid HC1/2? Could it be…

hey there, I'm using an odroid xu4 with the cloudshell 2 with 2 drives in RAID1 and Armbian with Debian 9 Stretch as my OS, built via Vagrant 2 weeks ago. The /boot partition sits on a sd-card, the OS on the harddrive. I''ve copied both via dd on both devices(boot an card, rootfs on harddrive), and after the first boot it worked flawlessly, because the boot information uses the UUID, not the /dev path. After the first boot and configuration of another user and so on, I rebooted the system to let it resize the rootfs to extend it to 2TB, which is the size of the harddrive. But after this, it seems that cryptroot cannot decrypt the …

Does anyone know any way to fix the annoying way the fan works on this device? Even on idle load, the fan spins up every couple of minutes, keeps spinning for a few seconds, then turns off again, only to repeat a few minutes later. I can't even sleep in the same room the device is in... I've tried using this: https://github.com/f1vefour/odroid-xu4-fan-control And it hasn't really solved anything, as the fan cannot start on PWM values lower than 100... it instead makes squeaking noises. So having adjusted the script, nothing has really changed. Is there something I could do to fix this in software? Perhaps something that doesn't involve getting the heatsink …

So I wanted to set up an Odroid XU4 as a low-power low-cost NAS and "seedbox" for a personal project, and I wanted to have a GUI that doesn't take too many resources (or spin the fan too much) due to the fact that qBittorrent can't run as a thin client, and I don't want to have to use a WebUI, nor do I want to use a different client (Transmission frequently has security issues, and Deluge is a bit too resource-intensive). I'm currently using the XU4 headless, and only have it hooked up to LAN, so it's a bit difficult to tell what's going on at system initialisation, and since I'm controlling the device through SSH, I'm unable to manually start X11 after booting and l…

I used the command nand-sata-install with following option: Boot from SD - system on SATA or USB I tried different filesystem formats (ext4, btrfs) and armbian builds: Armbian_5.37_Odroidxu4_Debian_jessie_next_4.9.71 (stable) Armbian_5.37_Odroidxu4_Ubuntu_xenial_next_4.9.71 (stable) Armbian_5.41_Odroidxu4_Debian_stretch_next_4.9.83 (self-built) I dont have a terminal adapter to access the boot logs. Any hints how to get additional information or to fix this issue?

Hi Guys, I tested both the odroid official and armbian images for the XU4. Both run well, but I prefer the armbian image. I have attached my 800x480 hdmi display, it works, but there's a purple line at the left side of the display. ( I think it's one pixel wide) This is not the case with the odroid official image, so I guess it's a configuration issue. I took a look at the boot. ini file, but I don't see anything that rings a bell. Can somebody point me to the right direction?

I have some HC1 running since last year. Before going into production I did SATA install, NEXT kernel, firmware and stretch update (I need that) and all updates offered through apt since then. I have read about newer armbian releases that my machines do not load and further HC1 optimization which I can´t find in my armbian-config. I wonder whether my setup will receive proper updates. It would be quite a hassle to reinstall. Now I have: Welcome to ARMBIAN 5.38 stable Debian GNU/Linux 9 (stretch) 4.9.61-odroidxu4 Linux HC1 4.9.61-odroidxu4 #2 SMP PREEMPT Wed Nov 22 16:34:23 CET 2017 armv7l cat /etc/apt/sources.list deb http:/…

A recent check of failed services showed me that following service failed: systemd-update-utmp-runlevel.service Checking via journalctl I see this: Failed to write utmp record: No space left on device So far I understood it has to do with the space for the logs being full, I can delete logs to make place. My question is, how could I have that done by default in an easy way? The message itself doesn't bother my that much but I guess there are no new logs created if there's no space which isn't ideal.

Hi, I've just ordered a Xu4 to use it as a desktop and I have never used armbian before. Is webgl is running fine in chromium browser? I want to run Construct 3 on it. Thanks in advance!

Hi, yesterday I did a apt upgrade and noticed that my omv install also got updated. Now copying from my HC2 I only get like 50 mb/s. I always got like 100 mb/s..at least win explorer showed this, I know it's not accurate. Could the update have erased/overwritten all these nice tweaks @tkaiser made for us to increase tranfer speed? That would be very unfortunate :/ Any chance I can roll back the omv update?

Hello everybody, I'm very new to the topic 'armbian' and yet excited. Just played with the BananaPi and downloaded the distro from the first link I got (light/mainline I think). Now I have bought an Odroid XU4 and want to build a Home-Server / NAS with it, wondering which distro to choose. Of course without the heavy-load desktop, but (xenial) next oder default? Thank you. Regards AXEL

Hi, just bought a HC1 and tryin to setup Armbian. I installed Armbian_5.37_Odroidxu4_Ubuntu_xenial_next_4.9.71, works with SDHC. Now I put in my ADATA SP550 (480GB) SSD, but something fails, see dmesg: Spoiler [ 5.096332] r8152 6-1:1.0 eth0: v1.08.8 [ 5.118014] r8152 6-1:1.0 enx001e06326386: renamed from eth0 [ 5.207225] usb 4-1: new SuperSpeed USB device number 2 using xhci-hcd [ 5.228766] usb 4-1: New USB device found, idVendor=152d, idProduct=0578 [ 5.228786] usb 4-1: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3 [ 5.228802] usb 4-1: Product: USB to SATA bridge [ 5.228…

I recently hooked up my XU4 to a DVD/CD Enclosure, essentially just SATA to USB, and am having an issue mounting the drive. After researching online it seems this is a filesystem issue. So, I was wondering if anybody else has encountered this problem, and if so, how did you fix it? Thanks Armbian: Image: Armbian_5.37_Odroidxu4_Ubuntu_xenial_next_4.9.71_desktop.7z Kernel: [default] 4.9.61-odroidxu4 #2 SMP PREEMPT Wed Nov 22 16:34:23 CET 2017 Errors: # mount -t iso9660 /dev/sr0 /media/ceru/cdrom mount: /dev/sr0 is write-protected, mounting read-only mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sr0, missing co…

I installed a Debian Jessie on an Odroid HC1, and trying to connect an encrypted disk to it via USB. blkid lists the device: # blkid /dev/sdb1: UUID="2288876d-0fe8-4b5a-b7d1-1660df8b2e25" TYPE="crypto_LUKS" PARTUUID="c8895b7f-01" but when I try to open it with luksOpen: # cryptsetup luksOpen /dev/sdb1 sdb1_crypted Enter passphrase for /dev/sda1: After entering the passphrase (and Enter), it hangs. The SSH connection times out after 1-2 minutes (where to enlarge?) and there is no HDMI on the HC1, so I am left blind. The disk was created and used in another system and worked perfectly on a Raspberry PI and my Linux PC. I created a key file and added…

I learned that the cpu on my hc2 has 4 'slow' cores and 4 fast ones. Now I would want certain apps to always use the fast cores. I found `taskset` to do so. My idea was to just add `taskset --cpu-list 4,5,6,7` in the .service file of the desired app in the execstart line in front. To have it always use the big cores. Would this work? Also I have apps 'calling' unrar to extract files. I don't know how I would do it in this case. I think it'll be a bit complicated to tell the apps to call unrar with `taskset --cpu-list 4,5,6,7`. Is there a way to have unrar always run on the big cores?
