Rk3588 boards now share the same linuxfamily as rk3568 and rk3566 boards. It means rockchip-rk3588 kernel won't get update longer. Here is some steps for migration: sudo sed -i 's/LINUXFAMILY=rockchip-rk3588/LINUXFAMILY=rk35xx/g' /etc/armbian-release sudo apt update sudo apt install linux-image-legacy-rk35xx linux-dtb-legacy-rk35xx linux-headers-legacy-rk35xx sudo apt remove linux-image-legacy-rockchip-rk3588 linux-dtb-legacy-rockchip-rk3588 linux-headers-legacy-rockchip-rk3588 NOTE: The steps are currently for beta branch only. Don't try on stable branch.

Kodi on Orange Pi 5 with GPU Hardware Acceleration and HDMI Audio Huge thanks to user @roykon the Armbian forums for the directions on this in their various forum posts and Armbian forum user @amazingfate for maintaining the PPAs and software builds required for GPU acceleration. I have simply listed below, for the reference of others, the minimum Steps used to get Kodi running with GPU hardware acceleration (for x264/x265 decode) plus HDR auto switching and with HDMI Audio output*. (I am using the Orange Pi 5 with a Samsung 4K TV) *No instructions added yet for enabling HDMI passthrough. ** No instructions added yet for enabling HDMI CEC. …

What? Sharing various gaming experiences with RK3588 (Orange Pi 5) on Armbian. Why? Because RK3588 is a capable gaming chipset, Armbian is a good OS; Vulkan on RK3588 is getting better over time (PanVk) How? Posting your gaming results here (preferably with setup and screenshots/videos) so people can learn more.

Hello, I installed lm-sensors on my Opi5 and I'm able to check temperatures, however I don't know how to make the little fan spin when the temperature rise. I know the temperature is not going to rise till critical levels, but I live in very hot country and I just don't want my device to become too hot. And do you know how to make the fan start at certain temperature rise? Also I'm not sure which pins I should connect the fan to.. One pin should be the 3.3V to get the power, what about the other one? I'm running Armbian 23.02.2 with kernel 5.10.110-rockchip-rk3588 Thanks in advance

I originally posted this on reddit after seeing a lot of posts trying to use a SATA M.2 SSD and saying it wouldn't boot with replies telling them to go buy a NVME M.2 SSD which isn't necessary when the board does support SATA M.2 with flashing the correct bootloader. This guide has 3 different sections, 1 being booting with Orange pi OS and 2 being with Armbian OS Orange Pi OS Instructions Download Orange Pi OS Ubuntu or Debian from their website http://www.orangepi.org/html/hardWare/computerAndMicrocontrollers/service-and-support/Orange-pi-5.html unzip the 7z file to get the .img file and flash it to your sd card with your preferred flasher i.e balenaetc…

I searched & tried all materials I can find, trying to set up FFmpeg to work with hardware acceleration on Orange Pi 5. But it did NOT work. Anyone else succeeds in using GPU hardware acceleration to encode/transcode video on Orange Pi 5 using FFmpeg? (or using gstreamer?) Could you please share with me the way to do it? Thank you very much indeed!

Are there any USB WiFi adapters that are supported out of the box? Nothing fancy, just looking for a cheap readily available USB WiFi adapter that doesn't require finding kernel headers and downloading modules to compile that will then be wiped out by the next release. I am currently using Armbian_23.02.0-trunk.0220_Orangepi5_jammy_legacy_5.10.110_xfce_desktop.img installed and booting from a 256GB NVME drive. Ethernet is an option but I'd like to make it more portable. What have you guys used and had success with? My network is WiFi 6+ but not having the best speed is just fine. Thanks in advance.

A new variation of Orange Pi 5 is now available. I think it's available on AliExpress, but I've seen the item on Amazon.com as well...reasonable price: https://www.amazon.com/Orange-Pi-Rockchip-Frequency-Development/dp/B0C5BZLPZN It comes now with the RK3588 instead of the RK3588s of the 5 and 5B. It's similar in capabilities of the Rock 5B but I believe has a few more bells and whistles. It has two 2.5GB ethernet ports. Separate connectors than GPIO for RTC and fan. Full size HDMI input as well as 2 full size HDMI outputs. Can have m.2 for 2230 WiFi/BT on top side as well as m.2 2280 on bottom of board. I think it can only go up to 16GB me…

I'm looking to try an OPi5 for GPGPU. After seeing trunk recently added the patches needed to use the "gofaster" option for panfork, and having seen reports of glmark2 scores of 4000 and 5000 while never coming close to that myself, I decided to pull together the various bits of info out there and just try all of the options. A number of things done below are often described vaguely -- hopefully it's helpful here to lay out a concrete set of steps to follow and what to expect. There are two options for accelerated video: panfork and ARM's closed source "blob" driver. With either option, it sounds like you should switch from X11 to Wayland. If you are looking a…

I tried installing the OS using SD card and EMMC, but both failed. Orange Pi OS (Arch) on the official website ran normally. However, I installed focal_desktop_xfce or jammy_desktop_gnome from Ubuntu Image, but they all failed. After inserting the image into the SD card, the symptom is a black screen and no booting. Does it only support SSD? Because it is entered through a translator, there may be unnatural sentences. If you reply about that, I will get back to you.

Hi all, I am trying to recover after a failed NVMe install. I have a working install on an SDCard, but I think my board no longer boots to SDCard, since I flashed the bootloader via armbian-install. I am not sure if my NVMe install is good or not, and I can't currently reflash it. So I think my best bet is to wipe the SPI, which I hope means the board will go back to booting from SDCard. That's question 1 - is that actually a valid solution? If I wipe the SPI will I be able to again boot to SDCard? I am able to get the board into Maskrom mode, and I can see it using the Windows tool. However, I believe that I …

Couldn't booti from NVME with armbian-config or armbian-install, finally I could do it, a dirty easy and convoluted following way. No details about burning stuff This is what I did 1) boot system from fresh downloaded SD (Armbian Jammy Desktop) 2) NVME setup (sudo gparted) - if empty create a partition table (GPT) if not delete all partitions - create 256MB FAT16 partition (nvme0n1p1) - create EXT4 partition (nvme0n1p2) - optionally create more partitions (system recovery, backups ...) - format partitions nvme0n1p1 -> FAT16 - format partitions nvme0n1p2 -> EXT4 - check partitions (if old N…

I want to install jellyfin as a docker container on my Orange pi 5. How can I enable hardware acceleration for it? On the container page (https://hub.docker.com/r/linuxserver/jellyfin) there are instructions for various options, but orange pi 5 is not there of course. I have enabled 3D acceleration as mentioned on the armbian page for orange pi 5.

I'm really struggling to get chromium to work correctly with hardware acceleration. 1) I have custom kernel image from master branch last week. Which maybe could cause some issues? 2) I added the two repos (panfork and mesa) sudo add-apt-repository ppa:liujianfeng1994/panfork-mesa sudo add-apt-repository ppa:liujianfeng1994/rockchip-multimedia 3) I've ran all the updates 4) I installed ubuntu desktop to enable Wayland which is working nicely 5) I've added the HDMI audio output 6) My default chromium configuration does already have the egl enabled. When I start Chromium, I get the following errors 39610:39643:0125/091804.694008:ERR…

I have created a micro desktop case. It's an open design that is still in the creation phase. The shell is 3d printed, the sides are acrylic, and the opi5 mount panel can be 3d printed or made from acrylic. I'm looking for feedback with design suggestions/needs. This is the first real opi5 micro tower design currently for OPI5. My cad drawing of the OPI5 mainboard is 99.9% accurate, so if someone wants to use that as a footprint for other projects by all means. https://github.com/berin-aquaquad/orange-pi-5 I am using DesignSpark Mechanical a free cad software that is on par with Fusion360. The shell has been designed as a split body so smaller 3d printers can c…

Hey everyone, I'm starting to lose my mind here. I've got an Orange Pi 5 which works great with a micro SD card. Now I got myself a nvme ssd and all I want to do is move my system from the sd card to the ssd. I've created an image of the sd card on my PC using "dd" and then wrote it on the ssd using dd again. It seemed to work fine, the only issue seems to be, that the UUID of the partitions on the ssd were the same as on the sd card, that's why I changed the UUID of the root partition on the ssd using "tune2fs -U random /dev/nvme0n1p2". I booted up the Pi with my sd card again and used armbian-config to flash mtdblock0 (boo…

The guide will be split into 2 sections depending on what OS you want to use Orange Pi OS 1. install the wifi module into the m.2 slot and boot sd card with either the latest orange pi os ubuntu or debian http://www.orangepi.org/html/hardWare/computerAndMicrocontrollers/service-and-support/Orange-pi-5.html 2. edit the boot file to enable wifi by adding overlays=wifi-ap6275p to the end. My experience so far: 1. Booting up (Jammy/Bullseye) from SD, HDMI out to 1440p display cuts off text at the bottom. It affects installation and later use. I finally found an official source code on the download page of OrangePI that has a version of wiring pi with support for the Orange PI 5 - unfortunately that code is not on the github of orangepi yet. What would be the best way to get this code and the gpio tool into armbian? Build a PPA and package for that one? I don't mind forking their repo and adding the mods but I'm not familiar with generating debian packages.

Greetings everyone. I hope to receive some assistance here. Our company is a small Linux cloud gaming provider that uses the Cinnamon edition of Linux Mint for our cloud gaming services https://maximumsettings.com/ . We are searching for an affordable local streaming device that we can recommend to our clients, capable of decoding H.265 at 4K - 80Mbps. The Orange Pi 5 is a perfect fit for this role, and the Armbian Cinnamon desktop is well-suited since our clients already use Linux Mint Cinnamon edition on the cloud Gaming PC. However, there is currently no support for our open-source streaming client, Moonlight, which we use as the default option for our clients. T…

Hey folks, im trying to compile a realtime kernel for mt orange pi 5. I plan to use it for djing. A fully preemptive kernel delivers better performance for this, as less xruns appear. I am following the official dev instructions and am using the docker method, Compiling only the kernel, not the entire armbian OS. I copied a realtime patch (actually I tried several sub versions of 5.10) from the kernel.org realtime project site into the userpatches directory (I looked up the correct orange pi 5 subfolder name but forgot it rn) but compiling throws me some errors. Has anyone succeeded in creating a kernel like this for the orange pi 5 and/or co…

Hi, Thank you for maintaining this excellent distribution, I have tried out this evening, via SD card, the new Armbian 23.11 Bookworm CLI Kernel 6.7 and I wanted to share some feedback on it along with some queries please: 1) HDMI works connected to my 4K Samsung TV, although I had to turn off "Input Signal Plus" for it to display the console correctly, otherwise there were all manner of green rectangles and other screen corruption present. Turning off "Input Signal Plus" fixed this straight away. 2) I cannot access either of the SSDs I have connected to my powered USB 3 hub. I tried with the hub connected to the USB-C port …

Hello, I have roughly 30 Orange Pi 5 here in the office setting up for deploying in the field. NVMe boot is working great after using 'nand-sata-install' to flash the MTD. But sometimes (rarely, but happens), when issuing a reboot of Armbian, after full kernel shutdown, the player does not boot back up. Power light is on, no activity blinking LED. Network link and activity blinking. Just won't boot. Requires physically disconnecting power for a few seconds then re-plug to get to boot. I have watchdog set in Armbian and tested that works. So this seems to be before Linux kernel has taken control. Is there any way to enab…

I've been trying to configure the HDMI screen I purchased for the orange pi 5. It's listed to work with the raspberry pi so I figured it should work with the orange pi 5 as well. When I connect the screen, the screen just turns white. These instructions were included in the manual to configure the usage of the screen with the raspberry pi, but I am not familiar with how to translate the configuration into armbian. Write the image to the TF card, then modify the following configuration in config.txt: # uncomment to force a specific HDMI mode (this will force VGA) hdmi_group=2 hdmi_mode=87 hdmi_cvt 1024 600 60 6 0 0 0 # unc…

I have seen the uefi port for Rock 5B, which uses rk3588. seed this the opi5 use rk3588s which may lack some IOs, so I think maybe it can work on opi5 without modification. (actually i don't know how to modify to fit for it, need to learn) here i show you the result, I burn the uefi image (complied from balbes150's repo: https://github.com/150balbes/edk2_uefi ) to a tf card, then burn the image from balbes150's post to a usb portable ssd. then i change the dtb. The efi and grub can boot form tf card and then load the image from my usb ssd. successfully enter the Armbian and seems no big issues. But this can only work on the 2 type-A usb3.0, i try on usb2.…

Hello!! I got Dolphin running under Armbian and it seems its mainly GPU bound for the games that Iv'e tested. I am aware that the Panfrost drivers are not optimal but I thought I'd like to try and squeeze a few extra fps out of this setup by overclocking the GPU if that's possible. Is it? And does anyone know how I can do that? Cheers!

Before writing I searched the forum a bit but couldn't find any recent posts about it. I have an OPI5 board and on NVME I would like to install armbian. I downloaded the image to micro sd and it boots fine. At this point I don't know what to do because I had to waste a lot of time on it some time ago and I don't remember the steps. With the armbian-config utility is it possible to clone the armbian release I am using on the micro sd? I remember that this wasn't possible some time ago. I would like to know specifically the steps to take and whether it is advisable to delete any old partitions on nvme. Thank you

Someone asked in a different thread how I got Dolphin to run so thought I'd start a thread so not to pollute the other one. Basically it wasn't that hard especially if youve done some git'hubbing before. I think I followed the 'Ubuntu' instructions here. Make sure you get the dependencies and do all the steps correctly. It should build without problems if you do. (remember you have a lot of cores on Opi5 so can use 'make -j6' or even higher) https://github.com/dolphin-emu/dolphin/wiki/Building-for-Linux You then want to set a config flag to make Dolphin use GLES instead of big brother OpenGL. (you probably wa…

I am waiting on my opi5 but was already investigating how to run Roblox (an x86 32 bit Windows game) on it. Grapejuice + box86 + wine could do the trick and saw this interesting script: https://github.com/NicoD-SBC/armbian-gaming Will this be working for opi5 too or is it specific to rk3399 (saw that in some compiler flags)? Anybody experience or an updated installer script? Hi all, this is my first post here on the forum. I'm getting ready to wrap up for the night, but I recently purchased an Orange Pi 5 (non-B) to do some tinkering with. I downloaded the Bookworm XFCE variant as I am somewhat familiar with XFCE already. Anyway, upon initial testing, I thought my power supply wasn't good enough for the board. I wasn't getting any HDMI output. When I removed the micro-SD card and tried to boot it that way, an orange pi splash screen would show on the attached display, so I think the port actually works (?) I have a spare USB to TTL Serial adapter so I was able to verify the board was successfull…

with clean install of armbian plus those 4 lines to install hardware acceleration glmark2-es2 gives score of about 800-900, about less then 25% of performance opi5 is capable. is it possible to raise that a bit, not all the way but just a bit more without instaling gnome or wayland, just to keep armbian as clean as its possible. as it is, its stable but barely(they do run) able to run 4k youtube oe 4k mkv, as soon as there is gnome and wayland it starts to crash, joshua rieks version, monka, armbian with all the drivers, any i tried it would crash eventualy.

The OPI5 has an onboard RTC. On the back of the board near the RTC chip there are two pcb "test points". One says RTC1, the other says GRD1, I would assume a CR2032 could be connected to those points to maintain RTC function. I don't dare do anything till I get a solid answer. Can anyone give me any feedback as to options.

I updated to Armbian 26.2.1 on OPi5, and it can't boot from MTD (rootfs at NVMe), and I have to use SD card to boot to NVMe as workaround. After looking into this issue, I found rkspi_loader.img is no longer available for current (6.18.8 kernel) u-boot pkg and armbian-config flashes u-boot-rockchip-spi.bin ( or similar sata version) to /dev/mtdblock0 and I think this is wrong image for MTD bootloader. If I use older vendor image, which u-boot pkg has rkspi_loader.img, system can boot to NVMe rootfs and I notice that /dev/mtdblock0 has several gpt partitions including u-boot one, and flashing u-boot-rockchip-spi.bin erases partitions in SPI flash. I'm trying to update python on my armbian bookworm to 3.12 but I cannot find any packages for bookworm. I regret not going with the ubuntu one now 😕 because that one has the deadsnake packages. Any known alternatives? (beside compiling your own packages)

I have an Orange Pi 5 board, installed with the 25.8 Debian Bookworm + Cinnamon desktop system. I have switched (using armbian-config) to the edge kernel in order to test the HDMI audio support in the new Linux kernel, but I'm not getting any audio out. The ALSA HDMI card seems to be present (see below), but there's no sound using speaker-test or aplay. I have enabled the hdmirx overlay through armbian-config also, but the result is the same. Is there anything extra that should be configured in order to get audio output ? Output from armbianmonitor - https://paste.armbian.com/gegorimako

I'm looking for information about the Ethernet chip on the Orange Pi 5. I need an SBC that has PTP hardware timestamp support (IEEE 1588). According to OrangePi.org, the Orange Pi 5 has the Motorcomm YT8531C, but I have not been able to find documentation that provides the answer about hardware PTP support. Most likely it does not, but I'd like to confirm on an actual device before purchasing one. If you have an Orange Pi 5, you can test this with this command: ls /sys/class/net |xargs -n1 ethtool -T If there is someone that is willing to run this command and post the output, I would appreciate it very much. Note: This is a cross-post from iot.stack…

I don't know why, I think after doing "sudo apt update/upgrade" (but I'm not sure), the wiringOP library on "orange pi 5" with Armbian 23.02.2 doesn't work anymore. If I run the command "sudo gpio readall" I get the following output: Oops: Unable to determine board revision from /proc/device-tree/system/linux,revision or from /proc/cpuinfo -> No "Hardware" line -> You'd best google the error to find out why. Can anyone help me solve this problem?

So recently I flashed Orange Pi OS to SD card, booted from there, updated system, firmware and flashed bootloader to SPI flash. I already had an external HDD with Armbian flashed, and tried to boot from there, but no luck. Afterwards, I tried to boot Armbian from SD card, but I can't boot any system that is not Orange Pi OS (and especifically, it needs to be from SD card, can't also boot from USB even in OPi OS). Tried with different SD cards and USB devices, no luck I believe I need to erase SPI flash in order to boot from SD again, but, how can I do it? Used latest OrangePi OS and Armbian Jammy CLI from 23/01 (stable release)

Hello everyone, I recently installed my orangePi 5 to pass workload from my x86 servers over to the orangePi. My main focus is to reduce my overall energy consumption of my homelab. TL;DR Kernel thinks, that while being idle the sweet spot for the frequencies in "ondemand" and "schedutil" is: 1024MHz on the small chips (CPU0-3) 816MHZ on the big chips (CPU4+5, CPU6+7) Reason is an internal cost calculation power vs. frequency gain, which sorts out the lower frequencies. Long story: After getting my first orangePi5 in place, I started to play around with the hardware. I am running: █ █ █ █ █ █ █ █ █…

Hello everyone Just would like to start a discussion about the current state of video acceleration (decoding only, h.265/h.264/av1). The soc (rk3588) recently got mainline support for these features in 7.0: https://gitlab.collabora.com/hardware-enablement/rockchip-3588/notes-for-rockchip-3588/-/blob/main/mainline-status.md Has anyone tested this on a OPI5 already, especially using Kodi? Does this work ootb there now? Regards, XXXBold

Hello OPI5 users. Running Joshua Riek's Ubuntu distro, I keep getting stability issues. Perhaps because I keep using Xorg. Perhaps because hardware acceleration is buggy. In the past I used super stable Armbian OPI5 distro's without hardware acceleration. Infact I still use Armbian on another RK3588 box, I don't think it has EVER crashed, running docker, Mosquito, HomeAssistant, and a buch of other things. Now that my Orange Pi 5 gets a slightly more serious use as webserver, I really like to get rid of the unpredictable Xorg crashes, and gladly would sacrifice HW acceleration for stability. My situation is this: Using JR Ubuntu Because I …

My OpenMediaVault and samba setup are running perfectly fine, and even though I delete this core file, it shows up again during reboot. I have tried to set enable core files = no in smb.conf With no sucess. The file continues to show up during reboot. Any ideas how to solve this? …

I have an Orange Pi 5 (16GB RAM) running Armbian Jammy with the latest updates installed. I am booting from NVMe and when it boots successfully it runs flawlessly without issue. The problem occurs when I reboot -- the majority of the time it does not boot up successfully. Sometimes when it boots I only see the red light (and no green light), and other times I will see the green light flash like normal, yet the external hard drive does not spin up or mount properly. This results in me needing to power down the Orange Pi 5 and try again. Eventually it will boot up successfully (along with the external HDD) and then everything is good; that is, until the next time I have to …

On my Orange Pi 5, I have successfully installed the X11VNC server. I followed the guide at the following link X11VNC and everything works as expected. I can connect with Real VNC from another device and see the desktop of the Orange Pi as if I were in front of its display. However, when the Orange Pi 5 is powered on without a display connected to the HDMI port, the access with Real VNC doesn't work as before. Hi Basically the subj sums it up. I got the AP6275P wireless module with Armbian, and BT is not functional. `hcitool dev` doesn't show the device in its output. Neither does `rfkill`. It works with the Ubuntu image published by Orange Pi though, so it doesn't look like a hardware issue. I'm using Armbian 23.5 Jammy Gnome with the 5.10.160 kernel. Happy to provide any additional data.

Hi all, recently I installed the Mali GPU Drivers from the instructions on the official Armbian website. I have Armbian 23.02.2 Jammy installed, with KDE Plasma desktop. I found two problems: 1. The mouse flickers when I move it. This happens on both XFCE and Plasma (X11) 2. Every once in a while, the Plasma panels freeze and I have to reboot my OPI to get it to work. This also happens if I right-click on it and press "Enter Edit Mode". If I don't do that, it freezes randomly (afaik). This affects both the panels and the background (panels don't update, can't interact, cannot right-click). Does anyone know of any solutions to this? Thanks!

I did a bit of reading - to prevent ubuntu packages to update the rockchip optimized packages, you need to pin the packages. There is a simple way to do that. 1. Create a file called rockchip-multimedia-ppu in /etc/apt/preferences.d with Package: * Pin: release o=LP-PPA-liujianfeng1994-rockchip-multimedia Pin-Priority: 600 2. Create a file called panfork-mesa-ppu in /etc/apt/preferences.d with Package: * Pin: release o=LP-PPA-liujianfeng1994-liujianfeng1994-panfork-mesa Pin-Priority: 600 You can verify that the apt configuration is working correctly with sudo apt policy chromium-browser which should return chrom…

I'm trying to use an SPI driven TFT display on the orange pi 5, but I'm stuck on enabling SPI in the first place. Looking at the pinout of the orange pi 5 in its manual, it appears that SPI4...M0 is the only bus broken out to the pins. However, enabling "rk3588-spi4-m0-cs1-spidev" in the armbian-config menu does not seem to do anything, as no /dev/spi device exists after a reboot. I have an Armbian installation on the NVMe drive and I'm trying to switch back to boot from SD card. In `armbian-config` I messed up the boot settings by leaving the root fs type unchanged, (SD card is in fat32 but NVMe partition is ext4). Now the board boots into initramfs prompt. Hi guys, First post here, I successfully managed to flash and boot Armbian 25.8.2 (Bookworm Minimal) from an SD card. Everything was working great, HDMI output and network included. I then ran “sudo armbian-install” and selected Option 4 to move the system to my NVMe SSD and make it boot from there. The process itself completed without errors. However, after shutting down and removing the SD card and powering on again the system doesn’t boot. I have the red LED turned on however the green LED that was previously flickering doesn’t turn on. There’s also no HDMI output and the board doesn’t connect to the network. I tried ins…

Hi, The release notes for Armbian 23.11 state, under Key Improvements in This Release, "Mainline Kernel for RK3588 with experimental HDMI support." I am currently running the default 5.10.160-legacy-rk35xx kernel If I wanted to switch to and try out the mainline kernel for RK3588 with experimental HDMI support, would I do something like this: sudo apt install linux-image-collabora-rockchip-rk3588 After testing, If I want to rollback to the default legacy kernel, what are the steps involved? Apologies if there are instructions elsewhere that cover this. Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Guys, i'm new. I enabled the sata module in armbian-config then i did sudo dd bs=1M if=/path/your/armbian.img of=/dev/sda status=progress && sudo sync overlays=opi5-sata is in mnt/boot/armbianEnv.txt Without the sd, the orangepi boots in initramfs. I've added a screenshot with the shell output on hdmi. I can boot from SD but that's not what i need. Any thoughts whats going on?

I could not find any arm64/aarch64 MODERN, up to date, Tor browser binaries. Anything below current-stable would be considered insecure, and at a glance I couldn't find them anywhere. So I was able to compile Nightly for the latest updates as well It took 331 minutes, and failed 4 times along the way with 8GB RAM native on the device and 4GB ZFS to start. It did a SIGKILL9 on firefox-glean. Increased to 8gb, still failed until I increased ZFS to 16gb, and then even at a whopping 16gb it crashed next on GkRust for OOM/SIGKILL9 as well until increased ZFS to 32GB! 331 minutes later, it was succesful Just wondering, to save myself from future pun…

With the prior image and kernel 5.10.110 I was able to run compile.sh and produce the linux-source-legacy-rockchip-rk3588_23.02.0-trunk_all.deb which provided the kernel source in /usr/src/linux-source-5.10.110-rockchip-rk3588.tar.xz. I downloaded the latest img which provides kernel 5.10.160 which booted fine. However, running the same compile.sh process I used previously with success produced the older deb package that contains the 5.10.110 kernel source. There were a couple of errors displayed. My compile.sh command is: ./compile.sh BOARD=orangepi5 BRANCH=legacy BUILD_ONLY=kernel RELEASE=jammy KERNEL_CONFIGURE=no The first error encountered was …

I noticed the new images with 23.5 but I have an older installation, then went to nightly, I just switched back to the official, I ran dist-upgrade but when I boot, the system shows Armbian 23.02. Am I missing something to get 23.5?
